When May phoned me to book in a family shoot, she asked if we could possibly do the session at a market garden as she wanted her toddler son to experience what it was like and to see how vegetables are grown. May found Benton Rise Farm on the Mornington Peninsula, a gorgeous little farm that grows and sells fresh in season fruit and vegetables straight from the garden.
The produce is sold out of a historical 1910 ‘Red Rattler’ Train carriage. The family also enjoyed the various farm animals including feeding the goats some rhubarb and watching the bees collect pollen and take it back to the beehive. It was a fun day introducing their toddler to farm life and where fresh food comes from.
