We all love our furry friends, so I like to include them in your family photo shoots. Your pet is just as much a part of the family as you are so why not include them?
As I photograph natural family photography, pets can help you relax in front of the camera. When children have their pet to play with and distract them, this is when you get those natural smiles.
You wouldn’t want to look back in years to come and not see your pet in the photos, it just wouldn’t be the same.
People are often concerned that their pets won’t be well behaved but don’t worry as I take lots of photos and it’s the interaction that I’m trying to capture. They lighten the mood especially if you are stressed from trying to organise clothing for the family and then to arrive at the photo shoot on time.
Just like with any photo, you want to be able to capture a moment and freeze it in time. You want to be able to look back fondly at the time period when these family photos were taken and think about the sweet memories that were made. Including your pet is just another way to remember them by.
