Every newborn photo session is wonderfully different. When I come to your home I look for the best available natural light. It doesn’t matter about having a spotless house (this is a unrealistic when you’ve just introduced a newborn baby to the family). It’s that uncertainty of walking into an unknown situation and making it work that gives me the creative freedom to capture your family as they are now.
I have certain positions that I might ask you to do but I don’t like to think of them as poses, just suggestions of what photographs well. Naturally led newborn photography works beautifully as every baby is different - diffferent personality, different little movements that they make. I mainly focus on the interaction between you and your baby. I prefer that you don’t look and pose at the camera as it’s those emotive, beautiful moments that I’m trying to capture.
