Newborn sessions are entirely baby led, natural and relaxed. In Home Newborn Photography allows everything to be at arms length to comfort your baby and also help you to relax in familiar surroundings. All I need is a small space with good window light. It doesn’t need to be a large space, usually Mum and Dad’s bed is perfect if it’s close to good natural window light. I place your baby on a bed with a neutral coloured doona cover or we make up a bed near the window using a sheep skin rug and pillows (a little trick of mine)! It works really well and baby’s love the cocoon feeling.
I will bring a selection of wraps and blankets for you to choose from or we can use neutral coloured wraps of your own. A sentimental blanket or wrap that has been gifted to you can be used as well. I either strip your baby down to their nappy and wrap them or your baby can wear a plain white onesie to allow your baby to be the focus and also helps reduce redness in baby’s skin.
