It’s very easy to think that all family photographers have the same style, they just push a button and voila but when looking for a photographer always make sure to view their previous work on their website to make sure it’s the style of photography that you like as styles do vary. For example you might like posed newborn, studio based photos where they use props versus in home lifestyle newborn photography which is led by your baby.
You’d describe my style as very natural, emotive lifestyle family photography. My aim is to capture your family as they are now, capture this moment in time that will never be repeated, that’s why I like to photograph your family in your home or an outside location where you feel most at ease. This is especially helpful with having a toddler or slightly older child as their attention span is very short so you need to keep them entertained and busy. My newborn photo shoots are also very natural and baby led. So don’t worry about having the perfect house, the perfect look, it doesn’t matter, it’s who you are now and for all those Mums out there my aim is to make you feel beautiful too!
Another positive about lifestyle family photography is there are no forced smiles, yes we’ll try and get a shot of the family looking at the camera but I want you to have fun, interacting with each other. It’s those in between moments that are the most expressive and emotive, that split second glance of your child looking adoringly at a parent that needs to be documented.
If you’ve missed the newborn phase because of lock down, don’t worry as the beauty of lifestyle photography is you can be photographed at any time, any stage.
This lovely family have just welcomed a new little baby girl to the family, congratulations she’s beautiful. Hope you enjoy your preview!
