Trying to juggle a newborn and children doesn’t give much time for you, so over lockdown I’ve been purchasing lots of clothing items for you to choose from to wear at your newborn photo shoot. I want you to feel special as you need to be celebrated for giving birth and all the things that you do for your family.
A lot of new Mums express that they don’t have anything to wear after giving birth and can’t quite yet fit into those favourite pair of jeans or dress. I want to give you another option so there’s no stress about what to wear.
The wardrobe you choose can really change the overall look of your final images. I’ve found through experience and my own photographic style that plain neutral or pastel coloured clothing photographs beautifully in natural light and adds a softness to the images. Try and wear something that you feel good in, that’s loose fitting or stetchy material especially after you’ve just given birth. Comfort is the key. Try and steer away from stripes, bold patterns or strong colours as they can give a colour cast on the baby’s skin in photos.
