A lot of parents ask me when is the best time for baby photography? With ‘Lifestyle’ photography it doesn’t matter what age your baby is, it’s all natural and baby led. They’ll show different characteristics of that stage of their development.
These lovely parents organised a 5 month old baby photo shoot, an adorable age as their baby is more aware and awake and their personality and expressions are starting to show that says so much about them.
By four to five months babies are getting stronger and are starting to hold up their heads for a brief time especially during tummy time, though they can’t sit up by themselves as yet. They don’t tire as easily as when they’re younger. Most parents have started to see their baby’s little expressive quirks that I love to photograph. They can now react to their parents facial expressions, those interactions that are priceless and deserves to be photographed.
A variety of photos are taken during the baby photo shoot including the baby lying on their back or on their tummies and the baby with the whole family. There’s no time limit for the shoot as this allows for your baby to be comforted or fed if need be. It’s those quiet moments with your baby, the cuddles and your baby lovingly looking at you I love to capture.
This adorable baby boy’s photo shoot was at his home where his parents had everything at arms length if needed. He was the happiest little guy and gave me lots of smiles.
