We seem to manage to photograph our growing family when the children are little, but once they get to high school there doesn’t seem to be enough time to document the Tween and Teen years. Between all of their social engagements and sporting activities, it can be difficult to squeeze in some time to photograph this next stage of their lives.
More than anything we want our children to be confident and hope that the support we’ve given them up until now as parents has been enough to build strong self-esteem. This isn’t always the case, these crucial years are full of change as they discover their place in this world. They may struggle with beliefs about themselves, especially in this digital world we now live in. In this online society and unrealistic expectations of who we really are, my aim is to show them how beautiful they are with or without make-up. Revealing their true selves and natural beauty in front of the camera with their own special styled mini photo shoot.
I photographed this gorgeous girl when she was just 8 years old and now look at how she’s blooming at 14!
