An Exciting Time.....

The arrival of your first child is full of anticipation and wonder...wonder at what you'll be like as parents and how your lives will be changed forever.  This gorgeous couple will make beautiful parents as I know how much they've been waiting for this little bundle of joy!

"Melbourne, gale force winds and rain expected this afternoon"

The day started with sunshine in the morning but the Weather Bureau predicted gale force winds and rain in the afternoon right when I was to photograph this delightful family at the park.   We decided to persevere and see what happens.  Starting at the house which had the most beautiful south facing light, building blocks and playing on the in house slide.  Trying to beat the rain, off we went to the local park, running with the balloons, playing on the play equipment, blowing bubbles and was about to finish up when down came the rain!  Mother Nature was just on our side!

Cousins!

I've had the priviledge of photographing these little boys since they were knee high to a grasshopper!  Their cousin has just moved here from overseas and what a treat it was to photograph all three boys in all their cuteness!  The Mums are pretty cute too!

Lead up to Winter .... / Family Photography

We had a cold and Wintry photo shoot with one of Toby's friend's family at a gorgeous park I found.  We were hoping to capture the colour of the Autumn leaves falling on the ground but we had to search high and low to find a park that had any resemblance of deciduous trees, as parks in the Bayside area only have natives.  This cute park was originally a racecourse which they have utilised that theme to design the park itself.  Yay.... a couple of deciduous trees but the local council were too efficient cleaning up the fallen leaves!  Fighting off the rain and wind I think the hit of the day was the Flying Fox!!

It was a 'Bump & Baby' Workshop weekend! / Newborn/Pregnancy Photography

I had the privilege of spending a wonderful weekend with the talented photographer Anya Maria Photography.  It was so inspirational watching Anya work and meeting other fellow photographers from around Melbourne.  Thank you to all our models, you did such a wonderful job.  I can't help but be clucky since I met your beautiful, wee ones but at least I get to photograph these cute little bundles of joy.   If you are thinking of having newborn photos, contact me with your approximate delivery date so to pencil you in the first week following the birth.  As you can see pregnancy photos can be beautiful even though you're feeling uncomfortable and big.  Best to do those photos around the 32 - 34 week mark.
