Finding the right fit when hiring a professional newborn photographer can be quite hard. Photographers differ in their style of photography, each have their own unique individuality that they bring to the photo shoot.
When researching for a photographer consider what style of photography you like by viewing their portfolio. There’s ‘posed’ newborn photography where they will pose your baby in certain positions and use props such as buckets and flowers and is usually done within the first 10 days of birth. Or ‘Documentary or photojournalism’ photography where the photographer only observes and photographs your everyday, real-life moments, no interaction with the baby at all.
I specialize in what’s called ‘Lifestyle’ newborn photography and I come to you in your home. I give gently guided suggestions with what to do which puts you at ease so we can capture those natural moments of a baby’s first days of life and the world they’re introduced into.
