So you’re pregnant, a huge congratulations!
Are you still not sure whether to go ahead and have a maternity photo shoot? Let me help you decide by answering some questions -
WHY ORGANISE MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY?
Your body is miraculous, growing this little human inside of it. You’ll want to remember this time and not only that, your child will treasure these photos knowing who their mother was whilst she was pregnant with them. Sessions can also include your partner and older sibling (if you have them). You don’t have to worry about how to pose or what to do as it’s my job to make you feel beautiful and make this an enjoyable experience for you.
You’d decribe my style as natural and timeless, capturing the beauty and emotion of your pregnancy.
WHERE WILL THE PHOTO SHOOT TAKE PLACE?
You can either visit me in my home studio in Highett or I can recommend various outdoor locations, or we can visit a location that you’ll love.
I do have a lot of clients that like to have both options as was with this client. She loved the whole idea of trying on different outfits from my client wardrobe in my home studio in Bayside, Highett.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
I usually recommend booking in your maternity photo shoot at around the 20 week scan. This gives plenty of time to guarantee that I have space in my diary for your session. I recommend having the shoot around 30 - 36 weeks as your baby bump will be showing well but you won’t yet be up to that uncomfortable, last stage of your pregnancy.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I BOOK?
I’ll send you my Welcome Booklet that gives you lots of information about what to wear, etc. I’ll work with you to decide on a location that you’ll love.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY PREGNANCY PHOTO SHOOT?
I have a client wardrobe available to you should you have nothing of your own to wear. I recommend neutral coloured tones such as white, cream or pastels with slight texture. No overbearing logos or patterns as we want the focus to be on your baby bump. You can wear flowing tops or dresses or if you prefer a t-shirt with jeans depending on your style.
HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST FOR?
I have no time limit as should you feel tired we’ll give you a break. Sessions usually take around 1-2 hours but if you have an older sibling who is a bit reluctant to be in the photos, it could take slightly longer.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SHOOT AND PRICING?
I’ll select a variety of photos from your session (usually around 50) that I’ll load to an online proofing gallery for you to view and for you to choose your favourites. Once you’ve finalised your selection, I’ll then invoice you for the total number of images you choose (‘Seed’ package minimum). I’ll then organise your 7 x 5 inch art prints for you as part of the packages.
Should you book maternity and newborn sessions together, you’ll receive 20% discount off your selected photos from BOTH shoots. I also offer beautiful linen covered albums and selected printing products for you to choose from too.
I’d love to work with you. If you’re ready to book head on over to my Contact Page on my website and let’s get started!
